You Have the Right to Build

We believe you will learn more by installing your own ESXi and vCenter than you will by connecting to pre-configured servers and then performing a few operations. We believe you have the right to build, and use, all of the required servers on your own dedicated resources! These will be your servers for the term of class; use them how you like!

In all VMsources classes, each participant gets to install:

  • Their own ESXi Host on a physical server
  • Build their own Virtual Machines
  • Install their own vCenter Server
  • Manage VMware vSphere including vMotion, DRS and HA
  • Configure their own Networking and Virtual Switches
  • Use their own SAN LUN
  • Create their own templates
  • Install their own Backup Server (the VMware vSphere API for Data Protection, formerly VCB)

There is no more comprehensive or real-world training available anywhere!

vSphere 6 Infrastructure Deployment classes are designed specifically so that every participant gets to install and configure all of the resources required for a successful deployment of VMware vSphere®, providing real-world experience in a way no other class can.

Most other VMware classes only allow participants to connect to and manage servers (like ESXi and vCenter) which are already installed. These labs, by their very nature, limit the participants to a very narrow scope; performing a few scripted operations on highly-restrictive servers.

At VMsources we don’t believe you will learn as much in connecting to pre-configured servers (like ESXi and vCenter) and then performing a few operations. We believe you have the right to build, and use, all of the required servers on your own dedicated resources! These will be your servers for the term of class; use them how you like!

Each of our Infrastructure Deployment Classes provides comprehensive training that will give you the experience you require to install, and manage, VMware vSphere successfully. Which class you choose depends largely on how much command-line you intend to use and how much time you have:

  • Datacenter Operations gives you the real-world experience you need to install and manage VMware vSphere without command-line labs which some people may never use
  • Advanced Operations provides a deeper look into the functionality of vSphere with many command-line labs, but omits several of the GUI labs oriented at basic management
  • Boot Camp provides the complete experience with all GUI and CLI labs rolled into one 50 hour class!
